Engineer Equipment (a*)

Your main tasks include the management of the approval processes for new equipment in the low and medium voltage networks. In doing so, you evaluate devices and components taking into account all relevant safety requirements, standards and regulations and ensure their operational capability. You act as a central interface between internal technical areas, customers (a) and suppliers (a), representing the technical interests of the Hamburg energy networks. In this function, you will develop test sequences as part of the tool registration, manage the tool database and coordinate the necessary tunings. You accompany the entire testing and approval process: from planning to carrying out inspections and tests to final evaluation and acceptance. In addition, you develop optimization potentials, create error and deficiencies reports, and derive sustainable concepts for correcting deficiencies – always with the aim of continuously improving the technical quality of the equipment. In addition, you will set up technical descriptions, specifications and regulations and actively contribute your expertise to FNN, VDE, DKE and BDEW's bodies.

You have a successfully completed university degree in the field of electrical or automation technology or you can convince us with a comparable qualification. In this function, you have very good practical experience in handling medium and low voltage electrical equipment and have well-founded know-how in the equipment testing and the associated documentation. Sovereign and experienced handling of the professional guidance of self- and foreign workers is part of everyday professional life for you. Your work is structured, self-initiative and responsible, with technical quality and safety always in mind. You have a quick understanding, think analytic and find yourself safe in complex technical contexts.
