The University Medicine Göttingen (UMG) strengthens its newly built Technology Transfer Office (TTO) in order to transfer medical-scientific research results into innovative products, services and company foundations.

In order to strengthen the legal team of the StabWR, a full legal expert*in with pleasure in the field of technology transfer will be looking for at the next possible time. This tendering procedure is also specifically aimed at professional starters. Perception of the role as a central legal contact for intellectual property, contract design and regulatory framework in technology transfer independent analysis of complex facts, in particular in the fields of employee inventors' law, patent law, copyright and general civil law Development, evaluation and documentation of different legal solutions, taking into account the actual, legal and economic conditions and preparation of options for action Support of the UMG Tech Transfer Office and the UMG accelerator in establishing the new organisational structure from a legal perspective, including risk analyses (e.g. IP strategy, aid and funding law, liability issues) Continuous legal support for national and international transfer projects, IP evaluation strategies, spin-offs and license models in the life science environment Support for the management of the German and English language staff in the field of technology transfer (patent and know-how licensing contracts, patent purchase and transfer contracts, participation contracts, business supply contracts) Own leadership of contractual and comparative negotiations with national and international companies Preparation of UMG court proceedings in the field of tech transfer and coordination of process operations together with the external lawyers of UMG

Full-jurist*in (Final of the 1st and 2nd German State Exam in Jura) Professional experience in the field of Life Science and/or Tech Transfer desirable, but not mandatory Interest in patent and copyright, employee inventor law, contract and company law as well as in EU assistance and funding law; safe handling of international contractual standards German and very good English knowledge in word and writing Embossed analytical thinking, high self-responsibility, sovereign appearance towards internal and external partners, and the joy of interdisciplinary cooperation in a scientifically shaped, international environment
