As a Senior Legal Counsel Employment Law & Employee Relations (f/m/x) you will provide a solution-oriented, holistic advice – especially in complex labour law issues on the part of the business and the entire HR community. Strengthening performance-oriented culture in connection with the strategic development of innovative and demand-oriented working conditions is also part of this responsible role and also include the following aspects: Strategic preparation of HR trends and future topics influenced by labour law as well as their control and implementation for the ZEISS Group in Germany with the aim of harmonisation across the various segments

Advising the segment and SBU guidelines and HR interfaces in complex labour law issues as well as escalating individual cases, including monitoring the implementation and preparation of the resulting policy decisions

Leadership or support of labour law (except) judicial negotiations with lawyers and labour courts

Independent consulting and project work as a labour law expert in strategic major projects, in particular reorganisation and restructuring topics of the ZEISS Group, including ensuring and professionalizing relevant processes

Strategic labour law advice related to (entire) transactions or complex M&A projects from HR perspective

Conceptual and operational support of the ZEISS Group in connection with strengthening performance-oriented culture under the leitmotif “psychological safety”, in particular by participating in an interdisciplinary “Community of Practice”

Training of executives, HR employees and works councils, in particular on labour law issues and the provision and continuous updating of knowledge documents

Completed legal or economic studies focusing on labour law

5+ years of experience as an (in-house) expert on labour law, like also transaction work law or M&A from the perspective of HR, for example in the HR department of an international group or a corresponding firm or other advisory unit

Proven and extensive knowledge in individual and collective labour law as well as a strong negotiating competence

Ideal knowledge of collective agreements Metal and electrical industry

A conceptual strength, analytical thinking and a strong understanding of economic relationships and entrepreneurial thinking

Efforts to decide and implement and a problem-solving competence

The ability to formulate complex issues in an address-oriented manner as well as outstanding stakeholder management and experience in project management

Strong team, communication and a very strong consulting competence

Good knowledge of English and safe handling of MS Office
