The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees. Since 2009, the SOS Children's Village Düsseldorf has been active with various offers for children, young people and families. Our facility includes a wide range of activities with school social work at ten locations, the SOS Youth Meeting, with the U3-game groups and day care, the outpatient family support, early aids, the multi-generation house and two day care centres. In 2014, we founded our SOS children's village family as the first stationary offer, familial siblings and minist living groups, as well as several residential communities to be found for young people. At the SOS Children's Village in Düsseldorf we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) in parttime (20 hours/Where) Children need people who listen to them, take them seriously and accompany them on their way. As a school social worker, you actively shape everyday life and create an environment in which children feel safe, grow and develop their individual strengths together with teachers, parents and network partners. For use in a primary school in the south of Düsseldorf, we are looking for a dedicated personality who has the pleasure of accompanying children in their social, emotional and school development and shaping sustainable support offerings together with an experienced team. You promote students and support their individual, social and school development through targeted measures and projects You advise and support persons and teachers in educational issues and challenges in child and youth protection You create a positive environment and create a school-friendly atmosphere that strengthens the well-being and development of all children You work networked and cooperate closely with school bodies, social institutions and other relevant actors in the context of the school. Together with the entire SOS-Schulsozialarbeit-Team, you will develop the quality, based on current needs, and will be able to work closely with the direct college on site (2 other school social colleagues). You bring experiences and resilience to work in the protection of children and implement the protection of children and responsibilities in a conscientious and professional manner

A completed study of social work or social education or a comparable educational qualification Professional experience in working with children and adolescents. Experience and safety in cooperation with school management, teachers, parents and various departments. Knowledge and practical experience in the planning and implementation of social pedagogical group offers and preventive projects. Interest and joy in the individual support of pupils as well as a high degree of empathy and appreciation. Experiences in child protection, resilience and safety in challenging situations.
