Security Engineer – Application, Cloud and AI (m/f/d)

You identify, analyze, and reap vulnerabilities in our applications as well as cloud infrastructures and carry out risk assessments (threat modeling) for modern software architectures and AI-based systems. You develop and implement security policies, standards and tools – also in terms of the safe use and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs). You develop security concepts and architectures for new technologies, cloud-based projects and innovative AI applications and protect them from specific threats (e.g. Prompt Injection and AI Data Leakage). In cooperation with the development teams, you integrate security practices into the SDLC process (using modern SAST, SCA, container and DAST scans) as well as into our deployment pipelines. You take over the structuring, planning and control of (agile) IT security projects – from initialization to successful project completion. You sensitize and train our employees in terms of security of use and safe handling of AI technologies in everyday work.

A completed study of computer science, comparable training or corresponding professional experience in IT security (Application, Cloud or Infrastructure Security). Professional experience in the field of application security, secure software development (preferably Java, Go or Python) or in the protection of cloud environments (e.g. Microsoft Azure). Funded knowledge in the field of infrastructure as code (IaC), in particular in the production, testing and curing of terraform configurations. Experience in structuring, prioritizing and realising IT projects independently (ideally in an agile environment with Scrum, Kanban or Jira). Knowledge in the areas of web and application security as well as interest in or first experiences with modern AI security standards (such as the OWASP Top 10 for LLM applications). Experience with programming and script languages, modern CI / CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions / Workflows and ArgoCD) as well as SDLC / SSDLC process and tooling for vulnerability analysis. Result orientation and analysis capability, coupled with a conscientious working method, organisational skills and sovereignty in challenging situations (e.g. when processing security incidents in the team).
