The production department ensures the smooth running of the production of various audiovisual content. In close cooperation with journalists, the production of ARTE Journal is responsible for the production of news articles, in particular the ARTE Journal and special events, as well as numerous non-linear formats on current events. The team includes different professional groups: production manager.in, production manager.in language versions, CvD and direction assistant.in and administration teams. The work is divided into several locations: Strasbourg, Paris, Berlin and Brussels.

As a team leader Production ARTE Journal (m/w/d), organize and optimize the processes of the area, guide the team and ensure that the measures defined for your area of responsibility are implemented.

Creation and management of standard contracts and complex contracts in coordination with the legal department. Negotiations with editors, service providers and other internal actors involved in the projects. Ensure compliance with procedures for obtaining comparative offers, in particular for tenders. Reporting activities and budgets as well as stringent and efficient management of the allocated budget in compliance with the financial regulations. Development of workflows and introduction of new tools.

You show leadership, diplomatic skill and have a good sense of listening. You are known for your negotiating skills. You work precisely and carefully. You know the working day of a news editor. You understand setting priorities even in complex situations. You work independently and introduce their own ideas and suggestions.

Your profile Complete university studies in the audiovisual sector. Including professional experience in audiovisual production with personnel responsibility. mastery of the German language in word and writing; very good French and English skills. Very good knowledge in MS Office, especially in Excel, as well as in ERP systems for administrative administration. Very good knowledge of audiovisual production processes. Very good knowledge of media and labour law.

An unlimited full-time job in the production department, from autumn 2026.
