Social pedagogue / educator for the Lüssum youth leisure centre (m/f/d)

The Caritasverband für Bremen-Nord, Bremerhaven and the counties of Cuxhaven and Osterholz e.V., as the welfare association of the Catholic Church, maintains an extensive range of assistance and advice to support people in the most diverse situations of life.

From 01.05.2026 we are looking for a/n** social pedagogue / educator (m/w/d) for the Youth Liberation Centre Lüssum with a regular working time of up to 35.25 hours / week. **The Youth Liberation Centre Lüssum is an open meeting place for children and young people in the district. We offer space for encounter, recreational design and personal development. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dedicated pedagogical specialist as of 01.05.2026.

The area of responsibility includes:

• Design and implementation of open child and youth work (open door)
• Planning and implementation of group offers and projects
• Organisation of leisure activities and excursions
• Individual counselling of children and young people in everyday questions
• Crisis intervention and support in difficult situations of life
• Monitoring and coordination of exercise managers
• Establishment and maintenance of sustainable relationships with young people
• Participation in the conceptual development of the institution
• Cooperation in the district and active networking with cooperation partners
• further development of pedagogical work on site

You bring with:

• Complete study of social education / social work or training as an educator or comparable qualification
• Your commitment to the joint planning to implement needs-oriented offers of child and youth work
• Experience or interest in advice and crisis intervention
• Joy in working with children and young people in open youth work
• Team skills, commitment and an open, value-adding appearance
• Ability to work independently and structured
• Interest in conceptual development and reflection of your own work
• readiness for flexible working hours (afternoon and evening hours as well as on weekends)
• Class B licence
