In your new role, you will be part of a team of highly qualified experts specializing in the design and simulation of sophisticated optical systems required for the manufacturing and qualification of our high-performance optics for semiconductor lithography. As part of this team, you will: Develop, optimize and analyze optical designs for complex optical systems measurement Predict the optical performance of optical measurement setups based on complex simulations Develop and maintain the associated simulation programs and software tools Collaborate close with other specialist departments to design optical systems that meet our demanding requirements Document your development results and present them in a clear, concise and comprehensible manner
Your Profile You have successfully completed a STEM degree with excellent academic results; a PhD or equivalent professional experience would be at advantage Experience in optical design is a significant advantage You have excellent simulation and programming skills, preferably in Python, and have successfully applied them in larger-scale projects You have strong mathematical and expertise as well as excellent problem-solving skills in the fields of optimization and numerical methods You have a solid basic understanding of physical and technical optics and are motivated to continuously expand your expertise You demonstrate a high level of teamwork, initiative, accountability and commitment You have very good German and English communication skills and are able to explain complex technical concepts clearly
