IT Application Programmer - Building a Medical AI Platform (m/f/d)

Founded in 2021, the Institute of Applied Medicine Informatics brings together complex medical data and, in partnership with experts, generates knowledge that can be used effectively against diseases, which leads to a deeper understanding of the disease and to a more successful treatment of patients. Our dedicated, agile team of individual talents develops and publishes innovative processes as well as tailor-made methods and tools for doctors: in order to develop heterogeneous data for medical research, to enable interdisciplinary and international cooperation and to simplify complex analyses. At the 01.12.2025, a consortial project will be launched at our institute with the aim of building an oncological secondment platform. In this course we are looking for a:n IT application programmer:in for our group “Agile Systems Development”. The position is now to be occupied, can also be occupied part-time and is limited to three years within a third-party project. Partial homework is possible after consultation. Tasks Analysis of technical requirements, design and implementation of data storage, visualization and analysis, as well as ETL processes Development of applications such as process controls of docker containers, administrative programs and applications to improve the data quality of research data Cross-project development of existing applications and technologies Consultation with project coordination and participation in internal events Documentation of (partial) results

Completed vocational training (single IT discipline) or completed university studies (single IT discipline) or equivalent skills and experience Good knowledge of Java and/or React Knowledge of SQL and/or Neo4j-Cypher is advantageous Good knowledge of German and English Teamability, communication skills, analytical and structured working methods and a “Hands-on” work setting
