Head of Department Environmental Planning (m/f/d)

General responsibility for the management of the department including strategic planning, control and further development of tasks, objectives and processes. Professional and disciplinary leadership of employees, including personnel development, motivation and implementation of annual and development talks. Ensure efficient workflows and quality standards through coordination, control and continuous optimisation of processes and monitoring of target achievement. Responsibility for budget and resource management as well as control of measures for target deviations and ensuring compliance with business obligations. Central interface function to internal and external partners (e.g. specialist areas, authorities, the Federal Highway Agency) as well as active cooperation in specialist bodies and steering circles. Total technical responsibility for environmental planning, nature conservation and landscape management, including standards, technical supervision and management of procurement processes.

Completioned scientific (technical)university study Environmental planning or equivalent qualifications, skills and experience.

That would be desirable: Multiannual professional and leadership experience in the relevant field of responsibility as well as strong leadership competence.

Safe, binding occurrence with pronounced negotiating skills, enforcement ability and clear target orientation.

High analytical thinking capacity and networked understanding of complex relationships as well as structured, solution-oriented working methods.

Funded knowledge in planning processes, administrative and procedural law as well as relevant regulations combined with high organisational capacity and readiness to perform.
