Project Manager Timber Construction (m/f/d)

The educational offensive “Building Wood” was created in Baden-Württemberg by the Chamber of Engineering and the Chamber of Architects in cooperation with the Ministry of Food, Rural Space and Consumer Protection. The goal: to promote and support timber construction in order to keep our building culture sustainable, sustainable and contemporary! Building on wood is part of the Holzbau-Offensive Baden-Württemberg, with which the country wants to become trendsetters for the climate-friendly construction. We are convinced that timber construction plays a central role in the sustainable development of our buildings and infrastructures. The Baden-Württemberg Engineering Chamber is looking for a dedicated project at the closest possible time to design and coordinate the regional project initiative. Projektmanager (m/w/d) (extended until 31st December 2029)

1. Educational work and knowledge transfer Development and implementation of (online) seminars on wood construction and sustainable construction, including didactic conception and counselling. Continuous technical training through participation in congresses, technical meetings, online formats and evaluation of current specialist literature. Professional consultancy as well as central contact person for enquiries about timber construction.

2. Events, Excursions & Network Care Planning, organisation and operational support of excursions to outstanding timber construction projects in Germany and abroad. Organisation, moderation and support of presence events on specialist topics as well as networking of relevant actors in the building industry. Active care and development of a professional network to experts from research, practice and administration in order to identify trends at an early stage and to integrate suitable speakers.

3. Public Relations, Podcast & Digital Communication Moderation and content management of the podcast “Building on Wood”, including thematic planning, guest management and coordination with the production team. Management of the platform aufholzbauen.de, control of external service providers and creation of a monthly newsletter. Development of flyers or other promotional materials for events.

4. Project management & administration Responsible project management for the educational offensive “Building Wood”, including time, budget and action planning. take over administrative tasks, in particular accounting, funding retrieval and regular coordination with the competent ministry.

Completed studies or training in a subject area relevant to the tasks, e.g. event management, office organization or media design Enthusiasm for timber construction and sustainable construction as well as a strong interest in current developments in the industry. Experience in the development and implementation of (online) seminars, events and moderation of events or formats such as podcasts. Conceptual, project-oriented thinking and organizational talent. Experience in creating and nurturing content or editorial work Very good German knowledge in word and writing, good English knowledge of advantage. Safe handling of common office programs; Experience in accounting of advantage. Ready for occasional missions. Sensitivity for professional policy issues, data protection and handling of confidential information. Ability to maintain a professional network and to actively exchange with experts from research, practice and administration.
