Senior Safety Engineer (m/f/d)

Support of management, department management and project management in all matters of occupational safety and accident prevention Responsible cooperation in operational commissions and working groups on the protection of workers, in particular the Work Protection Committee and regular meetings on safety, health and environmental protection Conducting regular audits and operations in all production areas as well as accompaniment of trade union medical tours Determine operational hazards and exposures and derive occupational safety measures Investigate the causes of work accidents, identify and evaluate the results of investigations and accident trends, prepare them according to the specified reporting system and develop measures to prevent work accidents Risk assessments and stress assessments (GBU) and occupational safety analyses regularly check and develop for completeness and topicality Accompanying the selection and introduction of suitable personal protective equipment, testing new articles and assessing suitability Advise superiors and employees with regard to the use of personal protective equipment and support the introduction Conduct security documents and regularly retrain Apply and optimize relevant regulations such as ASAs, WASAs, MAAs and operating instructions Professional leadership of security specialists at the site

Complete degree in engineering with further training on the specialist for occupational safety At least 5 years of experience in the field of EHS in the manufacturing environment, ideally in the metal industry Knowledge of occupational, health and accident protection Experience in carrying out operations, audits and risk assessments Good knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g. ArbSchG, DGUV Regulators, ASA, WASA, MAA, Operating Instructions) Experience in accident analysis and the derivation of appropriate prevention measures Practical knowledge in the field of personal protective equipment (PSA) and their introduction
