Supplier Development Engineer (m/f/d)

Technical understanding and active supplier management are required to ensure delivery capabilities, quality and sustainability. In this position, you will develop our supplier country and intervene when processes, quality or appointments become critical. If you are interested in acting as an interface between internal departments and external partners, then come to us! Your tasks at a glance: You ensure the availability and the agreed quality of critical suppliers even under demanding conditions. As part of targeted development measures, you will be able to control supplier projects, in particular in the case of quality deviations or supply bottlenecks, and will also be used on site at short notice if necessary. The close coordination with the design, purchasing, project management and product development will ensure smooth cross-border cooperation. To evaluate supplier performance, develop, maintain and analyze relevant key figures on quality, delivery performance, complaints, innovation and sustainability. In the case of offer reviews and comparisons, you will be able to assist in purchasing and assist in the selection, qualification and further development of new suppliers. You carry out audits, work collections and audits on their own and follow the resulting measures. In addition, you identify and evaluate supplier-specific risks, manage appropriate risk mitigation measures and check compliance with regulatory requirements, e.g. in accordance with the Supply Chain Care Rules Act (LkSG)

Complete technical studies such as mechanical engineering, ship operating technology, electrical engineering or a comparable qualification Reliable professional experience in the field of Supplier Development, supplier management or alternatively in the production, planning or construction of an industrial company Experience in classic and agile project management Advantageous knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma Secure handling of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP systems as well as fluent German and English skills Structured, targeted working with a strong technical competence Quick conception, high self-motivation, enforcing strength and joy of decision – even in challenging situations readiness to national and international missions (about 30%)
