The Department of Biology at RWTH Aachen University is divided into four research areas that encompass thematically the entire breadth of biology, from the classical disciplines Zoology and Botany, through environmental research and Computational Life Sciences to biotechnology. In addition to the building master's degree programs, basic degree programs such as Bachelor Biology, Bachelor Molecular and Applied Biotechnology and Bachelor's Teaching Office Biology are offered. Your profile A prerequisite for the occupation of the body is a PhD in the field of ecology, as well as deepened expertise in the fields of biodiversity research with a focus on vertebrates, ecotoxicology, environmental and data sciences demonstrated by corresponding evidence of activity in relevant courses or in the context of own research activities. Multiannual teaching experience (at least 5 years) in the planning and development, supervision and implementation of internships, seminars and lectures in the Biology course are expected in the following areas: Basic and advanced lectures and seminars in ecology Zoological determination exercises Ecological excursions and internships Furthermore, experience in the following areas is expected: I wish: evidence of the high-global qualification (e.g. teaching certificate); You are ready to participate in the “Lehren an der RWTH” by Excellent Academic Teaching at the Center for Teaching and Learning Services (CLS). The employment is in the employment relationship. The place shall be occupied at the next possible time and shall be permanent. It is a part-time job with half the regular weekly working time.
