Permanent representation of the President of the Robert Koch Institute in both the scientific and administrative fields in the internal and external relations Perception of management functions and representation tasks in bodies and national and international organisations Cooperation with ministries, consultation in particular of the Federal Ministry of Health, the authorities and specialist institutions at federal and state level Professional and administrative management of processes

Formal conditions Completed academic studies in one of the following areas: Medicine, Psychology, Natural, Health and Social Sciences, Public Health Promotion on one of the above areas The following additional qualifications are desired: habilitation or equivalent scientific performance Supplementary education in public health, epidemiology or health sciences or specialist training

For foreign educational qualifications, we need proof of equivalence with a German degree. Knowledge and experience Multiannual experience in the management and strategic development of larger organizational units (e.g. departments or institutes) Knowledge and experience gained in risk, crisis or science communication and science management Experience in crisis management, in particular in controlling complex situation and decision-making processes Experience in strategy development and implementation Comprehensive and detectable knowledge and experience in public health, health monitoring/refund of reports, prevention or infectious research/protection at national, European or international level Language skills (CEFR level): German C2, English at least.
