Number: MER0003H7K The MP (Mercedes-Benz Cars Procurement & Supplier Quality) division is responsible for an annual purchase volume in the double-digit billion range and ensures the quality of the corresponding components. In partnership with around 1,500 suppliers in Germany and abroad, the necessary materials are provided for the worldwide production plants of Mercedes-Benz Cars/Vans. Locations in Germany, South Africa, China, India, Mexico and Argentina ensure close proximity to production. New challenges exist in particular in the areas of autonomous driving, connectivity and alternative drives. In the Center MP/D (purchasing and capacity management semiconductor) we are responsible for purchasing, securing and capacity management of semiconductor components. In a direct business relationship with semiconductor manufacturers, we take into account technological, commercial and strategic aspects of sustainable supply security. We support our partners in technological innovations, the expansion of the production network and thus enable future-proof and sustainable vehicle production.
