Consultant (m/w/d) for the promotion of nature and outdoor education

At the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport in Stuttgart, at the closest possible point in the department 2 – “Quality Management, Digitization, Teacher Education, Inter-Training Educational Tasks, Sport” – in the unit 25’, cross-school education tasks, advisory bodies” is the place of one: Consultant (m/w/d) to promote natural and outdoor education Group E 13 TV-L (code 634/11) in full time, first fixed by 31.12.2026. A coordinating body is to be set up for the new conception and the establishment of the National Initiative “NaturErleben PLUS – Promoting natural, forest and wilderness experiences as well as outdoor education for children, young people and extending the training opportunities for educational staff in childhood and schools in Baden-Württemberg”. The aim of the programme is to promote the knowledge of young people about ecology and biodiversity, practice-oriented education for sustainable development (GNE) with the focus on “nature experience”. Completion of the National Initiative NaturErleben PLUS Coordination of the establishment of the NaturAgent Initiative Experience PLUS Operational execution of tasks resulting from the “NaturErleben” funding call in the different funding areas. Existing educational partnerships with other departments as well as external educational partners focusing on natural experience (e.g. forest education, place of learning farm, school garden). Cooperation with the Centre for School Quality and Teacher Education (ZSL). Cooperation with universities in the context of scientific investigations (e.g. accompaniment of the implementation project “NaturexperienceRäume an Schulen” of the Ludwigsburg University of Education). They have a successfully completed academic degree (state exams, master/master/graduate degree) in the field of education, education, biology, environmental or forestry sciences, ecology, geography or agricultural sciences. Additional qualifications and experience in education for sustainable development (GNE), nature and environmental education, forest and outdoor education are desirable. Practical experience in cooperation with non-school educational actors in the fields of school gardens, agricultural holdings (farmers' place of study) or forest education is beneficial. Competences in project management, network work and moderation are also expected, complemented by communication and organizational strength as well as knowledge in formal education. They also bring about above-average commitment, team capacity and security in written and oral expression and in dealing with digital media.
