Senior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

You are responsible for the design, construction and development of Kubernetes clusters (On-Premises and Private Cloud) including basic services in the cluster You coordinate releases / rollouts / maintenance tasks along with QS, change management and operation on customer side The implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for build, test, security scans and deployment of containerized applications also falls within your field of activity You support our development teams in containerization, helmet charts, deployment gates and best practices with GitOps principles You support our customers in the migration of existing VM-based applications in containerized Kubernetes environments Analyze existing system landscapes (VMs, deployment processes and operating models) and guide appropriate migration and modernization strategies You take over the integration of Observability Solutions (Logging, Monitoring, Tracing) for Kubernetes-based workloads You ensure compliance with security and compliance requirements (e.g. BSI-IT-Grundschutz and ISO 27001) in Kubernetes environments You work closely with architectural, security and operating teams and shape the transfer of knowledge to our customers

You have successfully completed your studies in computer science, information technology or a comparable qualification You bring multi-year practical experience as DevOps engineer (m/w/d) or platform engineer (m/w/d) Your communication strength and your patience in cross-departmental cooperation with QS and operation You have profound experience with Kubernetes (cluster operation, workload management, networking and storage) You have very good knowledge of GitOps approaches and related tools (especially Argo CD) You have already experienced CI/CD tools (especially GitLab CI) You bring experience in the migration of VM-based applications (e.g. classic Java, .NET or legacy systems) on container platforms with You have knowledge of container technologies (Docker and OCI) as well as packaging mechanisms (in particular helmet) You have know-how in Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform and Ansible) Knowledge in the public sector or in regulated environments as well as knowledge of BSI-IT basic protection, in particular cloud computing Criteria Catalogue C5, are advantageous Very good German and good English skills complete your profile
