Senior Purchasing Manager - cUAS (m/f/d)

As part of the Procurement Business Partner Team, you support the C-UAS product portfolio by converting program requirements into a reliable and first-class procurement process across the entire product lifecycle. Your tasks: You control the procurement activities for assigned C-UAS programs and ensure the availability of material as well as operational readiness from the prototype and pre-series phase to series production.

You are responsible for a defined portfolio of suppliers and purchase parts in close coordination with the relevant category managers and the higher-level procurement strategy.

You support the selection, onboarding and further development of suppliers for mechanical, electronic and air travel related components.

You translate program and production requirements as well as unit list requirements into orders, delivery plans and capacity requirements to suppliers.

You monitor orders, supplier confirmations, inventory risks and material availability and solve proactive bottlenecks, delivery deviations and capacity constraints.

You'll be prudent, day-to-day relationships with suppliers, support commercial negotiations and ensure compliance with agreed prices, delivery times, contract terms and delivery obligations.

You act as the central interface of procurement for the C-UAS programs and work closely with the fields of engineering, manufacturing, quality, planning, fulfilment and category management.

You identify and escalate risks in the supply chain, including single-source dependencies, long delivery times, capacity bottlenecks, quality problems and geopolitical risks, and actively promote appropriate countermeasures.

You monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost and delivery reliability, coordinate corrective measures and contribute to the continuous improvement of suppliers.

You provide high data quality in the ERP system and support a transparent KPI reporting, efficient work distribution and meaningful performance reporting.

You are an active member of the Procurement Team, take responsibility for your supplier and program sizes and make a significant contribution to the joint team goals and the sustainable growth of the company.

What you bring to the team:

You have a successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Economic Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a comparable qualification with a focus on purchasing/procurement.

You bring several years of experience in strategic purchasing or procurement management, ideally in a technology-driven environment such as aerospace, defence, automotive or high-tech industry.

You understand developing and implementing complex procurement strategies and building long-term supplier relationships at management level.

You work structured, analytic and data-driven, and you are passionate about innovative technologies, ideally in the field of UAVs, Aerospace or Defence.

You take responsibility, drive initiatives forward independently and achieve sustainable results in a dynamic environment.

Through your sovereign, communication-strong and convincing appearance, you act as a trusted business partner for internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

You have strong negotiating and stakeholder management skills and can successfully combine different interests.

Communication in German and English, both in writing and oral, is of course for you.
