Vocational training and study in one – your path goes on In the dual study of electrical engineering with integrated training as an electronics technician, you combine theory and practice from the outset. In the first three years, you are doing a recognized vocational training in parallel with the university as an electronic: in the field of industrial engineering – with IHK degree. You learn how electrical systems are installed, maintained, maintained and modernized – for example in energy supply, in industrial plants or in automation systems. At the same time, you will acquire the engineering knowledge you need in your studies at Bielefeld University (Location Bielefeld) in order to start later, for example, in the planning, control or development of electrical systems and installations. The course usually takes nine semesters. The lectures take place every two weeks on Saturdays. The rest of time you are in the company and gain practical experience – often together with other students in learning groups. After completing the IHK training, you will concentrate on your studies and work in a specialist field of the GEA, where we will use you as a prospective engineer. In the ninth semester, you will also write the practical Bachelor thesis in your field and then start as an engineer/in!
