-- Please note that this site is located in Contwig -- For our logistics center in Contwig we are looking for a company manager / branch manager / production manager / production manager (internal title: Operations Manager). If you move for the location and your home address is at least 80 km from the location, we will support you with a moving package. The operating division is the heart of Amazon. This essential part of our company ensures that we send orders efficiently so that our customers receive their articles in time.

As a Operations Manager, you will ensure that all processes at your location work as smoothly as possible so that we can meet customer demand. You run a team that ensures the safety, efficiency and first-class quality of our operations. In addition, you will guide a number of projects across our entire network to promote productivity. Key job responsibilitiesThe main task of managing and developing a team of Area Manager:inside shift management of operating teams, handling of problems and promotion of location performance Analysis of the shifts according to company specifications and implementation of measures to improve our operational excellence Close cooperation with other support teams, including HR, finance, occupational safety and security Design and implementation of initiatives at all locations to improve operational performance A day in the life A typical working day You take the layer line at one of our operating locations. In addition, Sie acts as the main interface between several different teams, including the financial, security and operational integration teams. This means that you immediately test the daily operations at its site and at the same time contribute to new innovation opportunities. A typical working day includes meetings with different business areas, in-depth investigations of performance and risk indicators for locations and forecasts for preparation for different demand volumes. You also offer mentoring and coaching to your team every day. As a manager, his team members support you in fully developing their management potential.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree of study

• Leadership experience and experience in stakeholder management

• Advanced English and German knowledge in word and writing

• Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to justify business decisions

• Relevant experience in production and supply chain areas PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Lean, Six-Sigma and Kaizen methods

• Experience in a similar logistics environment

• Experience in working with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
