Ensure compliance with German industrial safety laws and directives as well as company guidelines. Ensuring compliance with security programs such as Lockout Tagout, crash protection, fire protection, emergency procedures, evacuation. Development and implementation of work protection training programmes. Development and maintenance of programs for ergonomics, manual handling of loads as well as optimal workplace design. Complete the necessary formalities for compliance with German laws and its reporting. Evaluation of accidents and statistics and development of prevention programmes to avoid accidents. Promoting the commitment to work protection measures by management and employees, creating a work protection culture. Risk assessment of new processes and machines. Checking changes in standardised procedures and creating safety recommendations. Continuing the existing risk assessment. Establishment and maintenance of close cooperation with the local fire brigade and safety authorities as well as the professional association. Cooperation with the local works council according to §9 ASiG. Management of a sustainable incident investigation and reporting. Process auditing. Representation of the regional WHS manager in absence. Acquisition of supra-regional (DE/EU) projects to improve occupational safety. As a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) manager:you are responsible for the Department of Safety at Work at our logistics location in Gattendorf and guide a team. You work closely with the local management on the continuous operation of the local occupational safety standard and coordinate the implementation of company-internal and legal requirements for occupational safety. You report to the WHS Regional Management in Germany.

For this place we expect: Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification in accordance with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Specialist for occupational safety certificate according to § 6 ASiG or DGUV V2 Multiannual occupational experience in the field of occupational safety Experience in leadership of a team Good knowledge of German and English Preferred qualifications: One or more of the following qualifications would be a plus: Completed studies in a technical or safety field Experiences in the application of Lean, 5S or Kaizen methods.
