Internship Research & Development - CAD & Testing Powertools (m/f/d)

Our Reinhold Würth Innovation Center CURIO offers you versatile practical activities. Be part of the development team “Mechatronics and Powertools” and actively participate in the development of new battery tools! You design different components in CAD and develop practical solutions. Together with our central workshop you manufacture 3D printing parts as well as components on the CNC milling machine. You plan, carry out experiments on your own and test the results. For airflow analyses, you serve test benches and visualize airflows using fog generators. You judge cooling concepts of prototype and series equipment with regard to their performance. You analyze your own prototypes and competitive products in detail, especially within the framework of teardowns. You build new test benches including measurement technology and continuously develop them.

Studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, vehicle engineering or a comparable degree programme. Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office. You have good to very good skills in design with CAD. Knowledge of mechanical and mechatronic systems. First experiences in the field of electrical interconnections & microcontroller programming (e.g. Arduino or C) are advantageous. You convince by self-employment, self-initiative and a structured way of working on your tasks. Your team skills and a high level of creativity are yours. Very good German skills (C1) and good English skills.

Your mission is rewarded. For a mandatory internship, you can expect 1,400 € gross per month. If you do a voluntary internship for four months or longer or write your thesis with us, you will receive €2,541 gross per month.
