At our Karlsruhe location, we are looking for you as Head of Department for Re-Insurance (m/w/d). In the reinsurance department, all the topics relating to the reinsurance of the BGV group are moved, e.g.: Design of the RV structure of the BGV group/RV structure analysis/RV contract design Negotiations and contracts with reinsurers Operational settlement of reinsurance business consisting of RV accounting and RV damage management RV planning/calculation RV statistics/analysis Care and further development of our inventory management system RV components

In this responsible position, you support the department director and are responsible for the management of the Department of Reinsurance in strategic, professional, organisational and human terms. They manage the comprehensive activities in a success-oriented and targeted manner, as well as their own processes and tasks They actively drive process optimization and digitization, contribute change processes and accompany current developments in the field of reinsurance business They work with all hierarchy levels trustfully and live an active interface management to other areas You motivate your employees, promote their own responsibility and understand themselves as savings partners (m/w/d)

Completed (economic)mathematical or insurance business studies/insurance management, ideally including in-depth master's degree program with relevant focuses on risk management and/or reinsurance Wide expertise in reinsurance with sufficient professional experience Practical experience in operating RV processing as well as in topics of RV structural analysis and risk management, ideally with the implementation and handling of/with Asset Liability Management systems Designed for strategic, organisational and structural developments Ideally experience in employee management and enthusiasm for cooperation with employees Quick conception and conceptual strength in connection with decision-making competence as well as entrepreneurial and cross-disciplinary action Strong personality with secure appearance, strong customer and service orientation and strong communication skills in dealing with external and internal partners
