We are looking for the technical orientation and direction of our team an Head of Technology Center Communications (m/w/d):

-Your tasks:-

· Head of Technology Center Communications – a team of 5-10 excellence in communication technologies and their Application in the military field. Professional leadership of the Teams, definition of priorities and fields of action, cooperation with the Development of BWI Technology Management · Continuous investigation of the R&D landscape on new technology Solutions (Emerging Technologies) within defined search fields with strategic relevance for BWI and Bundeswehr · Dissipation of possible uses to cope with future more complex challenges (technology introduction paths) · Development and definition of solutions and standards as Blueprint for potential service developments and extensions of BWI taking into account the system context and corresponding Interfaces and dependencies · Advising top management, both inside and outside BWI, as regards the strategic orientation in the defined Technology area - Preparation and presentation of study results and technological findings (target group: C-level management) · Ensuring and promoting an appropriate framework for technical exchange between the experts of the various Technology center as well as internal customers and stakeholders

-Your profile:

· Doctorate or completed Master's degree in Computer Science, News technology or comparable discipline · At least ten years of professional experience in the field of system and solution architecture or System and solution design after graduation · At least five years of experience in the professional leadership of a team by highly qualified experts · Practical experience in the application of the scientific method the analysis and evaluation of emerging technologies in the field of Networking and Transfer Technology – Specialized in Military Context · Wide knowledge of network and transmission technology LAN/WAN, wired/wireless, 3GPP Mobile Networks, Satellite Communication, routing protocols, DWDM, network monitoring and control, Network automation, Software Defined Network · Advanced knowledge in the field of network architecture concepts · Embossed abstraction capacity as well as the strongly developed Ability to conceptually think and extrapolate Future scenarios(technology context) · Target and job-oriented work, ability to work Leadership as well as pronounced communication skills · German and very good English skills
