General Counsel / Head of Legal Department (m/f/d)

In the function of the General Counsel (m/w/d) / Head of Legal Affairs (Group) (m/w/d), you assume the overall responsibility for all legal issues of an international medical technology company. You position legal as a strategic Sparring partner of the management, thereby ensuring a legally secure, at the same time pragmatic support of the operating business – especially in the highly regulated environment of medical technology. overall responsibility for the legal department; professional and disciplinary leadership as well as further development of the legal team Legal advice of the management of Löwenstein Medical, the various business and specialist areas as well as the subsidiaries in Germany and abroad, in particular in matters of general economic, (international) contract and company law as well as in the field of medical device law Review, design and negotiation of complex contracts in the area of sales and purchasing with domestic and foreign business partners Consultation and support of M&A projects and restructuring within the group of companies in direct exchange with the management Corporate administration - including corporate housekeeping and corporate governance - of group companies (in Germany and abroad) Accompanying judicial and arbitral proceedings and reviewing written submissions Coordination and takeover of correspondence with external lawyers/notaries/auditors and tax advisors and internal contact persons Management of confidential data and files and ongoing maintenance of the contractual and document management system (including the creation and revision of contractual templates) Monitoring of the entry and time-limit control Monitoring regulatory developments and deriving strategic action options

Successfully completed 1st and 2nd State Exam (Fulljurist, m/w/d) Multiannual professional experience (at least 10 years) as a syndicate attorney in an internationally active company or firm, with a focus on general economic and (international) contract law, corporate law and medical device law Management personality with entrepreneurial mindset and high affinity to the middle class Impressive understanding for family businesses, economic relationships and hands-on mentality Written and oral communication skills and negotiation skills Very good, reliable English knowledge Independent, structured and conscientious working Planning and organizational capacity Safe and friendly appearance Communicative personality with discretion and loyalty
