As a clinic for maximum care, it is also certified as a lung cancer centre by the German Cancer Society.

In the Department of Thorax Surgery, all thorax surgery services for the entire Vivantes network are bundled in the Vivantes Thorax Center. In close cooperation with the three Vivantes tumor centers, state-of-the-art OP technologies are used – from high-resolution video and laser technology to da-Vinci robot surgery. The operating spectrum ranges from interventions on lung, tracheobronchial tree, chest wall, pleura and mediastinum; a special focus is on minimally invasive methods. The chief physician has the full competence in thorax surgery.
