Information Security Officer (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,700 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. Together with us, you are worried about the future digital capability of the Bundeswehr.

from 01.04.2026 and full-time in Meckenheim. Our tasks focus on the creation, maintenance and implementation of all measures that ensure the protection of public information security requirements. The department is therefore in regular contact with the security reprisals of our clients.

Coordination and administration of applications with higher federal authorities and federal ministries Identification of personal integrity requirements in the operating areas Use and adaptation of the special software used to department needs Coordination and advice of internal stakeholders, executives and the implementation of awareness events

Successfully completed studies with specialist in information security or completed vocational training in the public administration/public law environment

At least 4 years of relevant professional experience in the field of public administration/public law and very good knowledge in the field of information security

Reliable know-how about contracting authorities and an affinity for cooperation with authorities

High level of personal integrity and confidentiality, team skills and good communication skills

Impressed decision-making and implementation and very good organisational capabilities German language skills in word and writing
