We are looking for two full-time (39.83 hours/week = 100 %) at the next possible time Engineer:in Elektrotechnik (m/w/d) Our department 5.7 “Planning and Construction” is part of the Department of Construction and Building Management and is part of the central university administration of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB). The department includes project development/planning, construction management and quality management. As a team, we actively shape the future of our campus. From the first idea to the implementation, we accompany the entire project cycle – be it with rebuilds, core renovations or extensions. We take over not only the conceptual and strategic development of the university location, but also ensure that visions become reality.

You clarify the need and advise users: in the faculties as well as in the central institutions of the University in the field of cost groups 440 and 460 of DIN 276-1, in order to create a sound basis for planning. You carry out independently feasibility and cost-effectiveness studies for the mentioned cost groups and always keep in mind the economic framework. You take over the planning, tendering and, if necessary, also construction management and billing of construction measures in the field of electrical engineering according to HOAI and ensure professional implementation. In close cooperation with the university-owned employees – in particular specialist engineers:inside, architects:inside and building management – you bring forward projects together. You control external specialist consultants:inside, planners:inside and other participants and keep in mind the implementation in the planning and execution of repair, modernization and rehabilitation projects as well as the processing of deficiencies. You work closely with the departments of the department, the BLB NRW and external planning partners to achieve optimal results. You define technical standards and write obligations or Continue or develop these new specifications to continuously shape and improve the technical infrastructure of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum.

You have successfully completed a (special) university degree in electrical engineering or a comparable subject – alternatively you have completed a further education on the state-tested technicians: in the above-mentioned field and bring relevant professional experience into an engineering-based activity. You have multi-year, relevant professional experience in the planning of technical building equipment. Knowledge in the field of MSR technology is desirable. You bring well-founded knowledge in the procurement law (VOB, VgV, HOAI) and convince with a strong technical expertise. The safe handling of standard software such as MS Office is obvious to you; you also have very good knowledge in the field of CAD. You work proactively, structured and independent, like to take responsibility and are characterised by reliability and team capacity. You can quickly work into new topics and develop self-contained solutions. Communication strength, conflictability and negotiation skills are your strengths. You have very good knowledge of German, also in dealing with technical facts and terms (at least on C1 level).
