For the “AESA Engineering” area, we are looking for one at the Ulm site as soon as possible Development engineer for digital control of active antennas (AESA) (w/m/d) The “AESA Engineering” department is responsible for the development of active antennas for air-, sea- and space-based radars and electronic fighting control systems. Current and future development work includes, inter alia, AESAs for the Eurofighter, Fregatten, mobile surveillance and fire control radars operating on the ground and for air-assisted electronic fighting.

The activities within the designated area include design work for the digital control of actively electronically controllable antennas (AESAs), hardware-related FW and SW development for measuring automation within test procedures, specification of digital subassemblies and documentation of work.

Design and specification of digital control with FPGAs for actively electronically controllable antennas in the microwave range Hardware-related SW and FW implementation for the digital control of AESAs and for the measurement automation at AESA test procedures Conception and specification of digital subassemblies Participation in future projects for the interpretation of digital AESAs Creating necessary documentation such as concept, specifications, design document, test procedures and reports Presentation of work and concepts

Completed study of electrical engineering with field news/high frequency or digital technology or comparable Experience in handling ASIC and FPGA platforms (e.g. Xilinx RFSoC) Knowledge of digital signal processing Experience in handling modern measuring technology desirable Previous knowledge of the antennas that are desirable for the design for controlling actively electronically controllable antennas Team and communication skills for cooperation in interdisciplinary project teams Innovative and creative way of working and thinking Ability to show and present concepts in a compact way Independent and responsible work Flowing German and good English skills
