Coordinator Research Infrastructure ''KIAOS'' (m/f/d)

The “Karlsruher Integrated Atmospheric Observation System” (KIAOS) is a modular research infrastructure of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Depending on the scientific question, the observation platform can be flexibly adapted and expanded – both for short-term campaigns and for long-term observations. A key feature of KIAOS is the integration and coordinated further development of the four already established KIT infrastructures (AIDA, CARIBIC, KITcube and TERENO) in conjunction with innovative research data management. You are responsible for the construction, operation and the strategic and conceptual development of the research infrastructure. As part of the KIAOS process management, you will be responsible, among other things, for the technical management of the KIAOS team, for infrastructure controlling and for committee support. In the communication you represent KIAOS internally as externally and maintain an intensive network with cooperation partners and other stakeholders.

You have a university degree (Master / Diploma) and a completed doctorate in a relevant scientific field. You provide several years of experience in the scientific organization, project management, operation and administration of large research infrastructures and the organisation of measurement campaigns. You have expertise in dealing with complex measurement infrastructures and scientific standards as well as experience in research data management. In addition, you are characterized by your high organisational and communication skills, your ability to work in interdisciplinary teams and your excellent good German and English skills.
