Cloud Architect (m/f/d)

You develop and manage the strategic architecture of our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and develop a holistic, sustainable target architecture for different business requirements. You advise teams in architectural decisions and recommend suitable cloud services as well as technological solutions taking into account scalability, security, cost-effectiveness and wartability. You define architecture guidelines, standards and governance guidelines for our cloud infrastructure and ensure their sustainable anchoring. You plan cloud migrations as well as building modern platform solutions based on primary GCP and accompany them from conception to successful implementation. You will also get operational to implement architectural concepts together with Cloud Engineers with the help of Infrastructure as Code and to ensure practicality. You continuously opt for existing cloud structures taking into account economic aspects (e.g. cost structures), information security and defined architectural standards. You actively participate in in interdisciplinary project and product teams and, if necessary, take over the management of IT (partial) projects within your responsibility. You support overarching technical issues and help to ensure reliable, secure and sustainable cloud operation.

Complete study of computer science or comparable qualification and multi-year professional experience in the cloud environment. Expertise in designing and designing modern cloud architectures (ideally with Google Cloud Platform). Knowledge of scalable, safe and governance-compliant architecture concepts. Secure handling of BigQuery, dbt, GitHub, Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. Very good knowledge of a script/programming language (e.g. Python or Go) and the ability to technically implement architectural concepts. Experience with monitoring, logging, CI/CD, FinOps as well as network concepts and high-availability systems and understand highly available system architectures. Deep understanding of cloud governance, security requirements and economic aspects (cost/scaling models). You convince with your consulting skills, communicate complex issues in a way that is addressable fluent in German and English, always attract business and proactively shape technological decisions with
