The Sengelmann Institute of Medicine and Inclusion (SIMI) is an outpatient medical centre for adult people with disabilities (MZEB). We take sufficient time for these difficult patients and are equipped with material and premises to meet the needs of this patient group. In the SIMI, various disciplines (neurology, psychiatry, internal medicine, orthopaedics, gynecology and dentistry) work together. The team is complemented by other employees from the fields of physiotherapy, logopedia, ergotherapy, psychology, psychotherapy and social education. We benefit from the infrastructure of the Evangelical Hospital Alsterdorf with the departments: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Geriatry, Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Child and Youth Psychiatry and Radiology.

Overview of tasks

• High level patient care (approx. 6 / day)
• Speech lesson for orthopaedic patients who have reached adulthood, for example with pain, scoliosis, medical/medical advice
• Presentation of patients in interdisciplinary case meetings
• Development of the innovative and creative treatment concept

We are looking

• Complete training for Orthopaedics / Trauma Surgery
• Ideal would be the additional name for children and neuroorthopedics (but not a requirement)
• Interest in working with people with disabilities
• Interest in case meetings and interdisciplinary work
• Initiatives to build a competence network
• Motivation to improve the treatment situation of people with disabilities
