ZEISS Microoptics is a unit of the Photonics & Optics strategic business unit specializing in the development, optimization, mastering, replication and integration of optical applications based on micro-optical and holographic optical elements. Your job Precision for high-performance optical products needs fingertip feeling and a good eye. Using holography, ZEISS Microoptics implements new lighting, projection and detection systems. With the newly founded Aerospace business unit, we extend our business areas and look for a motivated and committed specialist in module integration (m/w/x). In your role, you are responsible for the design of the assembly and integration processes for our cockpit and cabin systems and take over the following further tasks:

Planning and implementation of the integration of optical and mechanical modules into our systems

Development and optimization of efficient assembly processes to ensure product quality and availability as well as the construction of demonstrators and prototypes

Implementation and monitoring of quality standards and procedures to ensure compliance with aviation standards

Support of design and mechanical design to ensure that the designs are suitable for assembly

Support in the planning and organisation of development projects in order to ensure smooth implementation and on-time implementation

Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, assembly instructions and process descriptions

Become part of a growing interdisciplinary team and introduce your expert knowledge to realize new products for aviation and create added value for our customers.

Complete studies in physics, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, process engineering or related discipline

Insufficient practical experience in process development and optimization, ideally in the Aerospace sector

Finded technical understanding in the fields of optics, photonics, micro-optics as well as explicit experience in module integration and assembly of complex systems

Safe handling of CAD software and good knowledge in Python, Matlab, C# or the like and the popular MS Office applications

High technical affinity supplemented by high self-motivation, own skills and skills to continuously expand scientific and technical topics

Strong self-contained, solution- and target-oriented mode of operation combined with high analytical thinking

Ideally, first experiences in working in the clean room or the willingness to do so

Very good communication skills in German and English for stakeholder management
