Key job responsibilities Your area of responsibility includes:

• Ensuring compliance with the German Industrial Safety Acts and Directives as well as the company guidelines.
• Ensuring compliance with security programs such as Lockout Tagout, crash protection, fire protection, emergency procedures, evacuation.
• Development and implementation of training programmes for occupational safety.
• Development and maintenance of programs for ergonomics, manual handling of loads and for optimal workplace design.
• to complete the necessary formalities for compliance with German laws and its reporting.
• evaluation of accidents and statistics and development of prevention programmes to avoid accidents.
• promotion of the commitment to work protection measures of management and employees, creation of a work protection culture.
• Risk assessment of new processes and machines.
• Verify changes in standardized procedures and the creation of safety recommendations.
• Continuing the existing risk assessment.
• Establishment and maintenance of close cooperation with the local fire brigade and safety authorities as well as the professional association.
• Cooperation with the local works council according to §9 ASiG.
• Management of a sustainable incident investigation and reporting.
• Process auditing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in accordance with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), preferably in a technical or safety field or equivalent practical experience.
• Specialist in occupational safety according to § 6 ASiG or DGUV V2.
• Multiannual occupational experience in the field of occupational safety.
• Experience in building and managing a team.
• Strong communication, leadership and team skills.
• Good analysis and judgment.
• Embossed customer orientation.
• Good knowledge of German and English.
• Self-employed and self-responsibility. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experiences in the application of Lean, 5S or Kaizen methods.
• Qualifications or experience with environmental protection measures are also advantageous.

A day in the life As a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) manager, you are responsible for the Department of Industrial Safety at our logistics location. They work closely with the local management on the continuous operation of the local occupational safety standard and coordinate the implementation of company-internal and legal requirements for occupational safety. They report to the WHS Regional Management in Germany.
