Application Manager – Applications for Measurement Technology (m/f/d)

As Application Manager, your focus is on the development and further development of concepts for measuring applications used in cable, pipe and hose extrusion. You make a decisive contribution to the digitalization of production processes – with significant added value for our customers in terms of their process stability, efficiency improvement and quality assurance.

Market observation: You analyze global competition, trends and technologies for the extrusion industry (cables, pipes and hoses) and deliver innovation potential. Identification: You collect requirements for applications of inline and offline measurement technology along the extrusion process (e.g. metering, temperature measurement, wall thickness measurement, ovality, eccentricity, diameter, concentration, surface quality, geometry, pressure), transfer the market requirements into solution concepts and present them before management and product development. Implementation: You develop application concepts in close cooperation with development team, production, sales, quality management and customers – with all the steps of the product roadmap from conception to market launch. Technical advice: You support sales, among other things, in the introduction of products, from planning to pricing to positioning on the market – you also accompany application training, both in-house and on-site customers. Market orientation & customer proximity: telephone interviews, customer visits, industry events and trade fairs – you stay in dialogue with the target group, sharpen your ability to understand and recognize their needs and translate your findings to our development teams. Reporting: Using KPIs, you monitor progress and success of individual projects and regularly report to the management with which you are constantly in exchange for decisions.

You have a degree in economic engineering or Mechanical engineering, measuring technology, process engineering, electrical engineering, plastics technology or a comparable technical qualification while at the same time profound business understanding of technological processes. Professional practice in extrusion would be desirable, ideally in the production of cables, pipes and hoses or in industrial measuring technology, as well as experience in requirement management. Basic knowledge of physical measurement principles such as laser triangulation, X-ray, ultrasound, optical sensor technology and their use in production environments are advantageous. With an analytical view and technical curiosity, you will explore production processes on technical requirements and commercial feasibility and come up with creative solutions that suit customer-specific requirements. For an international project environment, we focus on your reliable knowledge of German and English in word and writing, as well as on your willingness to participate in occasional business trips. You work independently, but you also like to work in interdisciplinary teams – with your structured working methods and solution-oriented communication as well as customer contact through your distinct service.
