IT - Database Administrator (a*)

You are responsible for the operation and the continuous development of the database platform based on Microsoft SQL Server and ensures a stable and efficient operation of the database infrastructure. Your tasks include the performance optimization, the construction and operation of high availability solutions, database backup and monitoring of database systems. You continuously work in new technologies and actively contribute your know-how to the further development of the database landscape. In technical 2nd and 3rd level support, you support the analysis and elimination of complex disorders and participate in the readiness for IT infrastructure. In addition, you will guide infrastructure projects or subprojects, create technical system documentation and pass on your knowledge to colleagues (a*).

A completed Higher Education or Higher Education degree in the STEM area or a comparable qualification forms the basis of your profile. You have at least three years of professional experience in the administration of Microsoft SQL Server and provide sound knowledge in the areas of Always-On high availability, database backup and monitoring. Ideally, you have additionally gained experience in the administration of Oracle or PostgreSQL databases under Oracle Linux or Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Basic knowledge in the fields of data networks and server operating systems – in particular Windows including PowerShell and Linux including batch processing – complete your technical profile. A structured and conceptual way of working as well as a high level of implementation in operational operations are the key to you. In addition, you will be delighted to develop yourself continuously, develop new technologies independently and actively contribute your knowledge.
