IT Engineer - VMware / Multi-Cloud / Security (m/f/d)

You enter and optimize our hybrid client and server landscape (Windows/Linux/MacOS) and the virtualization environment in the data center based on VMware You are working on complex tickets in the infrastructure environment and acting as a technical expert (m/w/d) with profound problems You accompany us in managing and expanding our multi-cloud resources (Microsoft Azure or AWS) and M365 services You ensure smooth operation – from firewalls and VPN accesses to core switches and wireless solutions You implement security policies, monitor backup strategies and proactively respond to monitoring alerts You rely on automated deployments and system hardening, minimise manual interventions and intelligently control our system landscape You plan and realize technical projects in close coordination with the Head of IT - from concept to go-live You care and live a complete, professional IT documentation and make sure that system configurations, processes and emergency plans are always up-to-date and transparent to the team You control external service partners and providers, coordinate maintenance operations and ensure compliance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs)

You have a completed training as a specialist in system integration, a study of (economic) computer science or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience You have extensive expertise in Windows administration (servers and clients) and ideally experience in heterogeneous environments with macOS and Linux You are safe to use cloud infrastructure and modern workplace solutions (M365, Intune/Endpoint Management) You know terms like VLAN, Routing, Subnetting and IPsec as a daily craftsman You have experience in dealing with audits, penetration tests and business continuity processes You work structured as well as solution-oriented, take responsibility and have strong communication and organizational skills You question existing structures, follow technological developments with interest and actively bring your own ideas You communicate safely in German and English – whether in exchange with colleagues worldwide, external partners:inside or in technical documentation
