Modern Workplace Architect

As a team, we are responsible for and designing the IT workstation as the basis for the digitalization of the Deutsche Bahn and thus enable 140,000 users: within the DB Group, safe working in a simple way. We use Windows 11, the Microsoft ecosystem and standard platform for business processes. At the next time we are looking for you as an architect Modern Workplace (w/m/d) with the focus on Windows at Frankfurt (Main) or Erfurt. We meet regularly after consultation on site – otherwise we work flexibly remotely. Together with your team, you will ensure that Windows 11 can be used optimally at Deutsche Bahn and define the overall architecture of Windows-based workplace systems. You work at the Foundation Endpoint Devices & Management and you are closely tuned with other overarching architecture training and the specialist domains. Your tasks:

In your role, you are responsible for the workplace architecture of modern, comprehensive Windows workplace solutions (client, virtual desktop, endpoint security, intune, commissioning and inventory systems, bundling, automation, NexThink) You define standards for further developments and optimizations and evaluate different technologies Together with internal and external stakeholders:inside you are responsible for developing the strategy for Windows Workplace You coordinate and optimize the interaction and automation of the various workplace services such as user management, M365, standard software, Help Desk, PKI, Network, File Services, Print etc. Planning and design of the further development of the workplace and new features incl. Migration is your responsibility You advise the departments and projects technically and architecturally as well as strategically to highly complex problems With all your activities you always keep an optimal user experience in mind You create architecture and operating concepts as well as documentation

Your profile:

You have successfully completed your IT or business-oriented studies or have a comparable qualification and a professional experience of at least 7 years in IT You have several years of experience in the design and implementation of Cloud-based Modern Workplace environments in the enterprise environment and know market standards and best practices In doing so, you tune complex requirements with various stakeholders:inside and inspire your colleagues to participate in the topics You have expert knowledge about workplace architectures and related technologies such as client, virtual desktop, endpoint security, intune, entraID, commissioning and inventory systems, bundling, automation, NexThink. You have a deep understanding of security, compliance and governance You have already used these skills to create workplace architectures and can support them with certificates or training; you look beyond the edge of the plate, think analytic and design forward-looking solutions Thanks to your result-oriented and structured way of working, you can ensure the achievement of the target and prioritize tasks based on the strategic orientation of DB Systel GmbH.
