The Controlling CKD building division is responsible for Mercedes-Benz production plants at the locations India, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt and South Africa. In our operational activities we coordinate financial planning processes, identify key figures for monitoring the current cost situation and derive targets for future development. We report directly to the local CEOs and CFOs and advise on possible alternatives to action. In addition, our team supports the management with a variety of strategic issues on the financial side - the topics range from the localization of certain models, make-or-buy decisions for individual components to complete location decisions. In order to assess the cost-effectiveness of the projects, input premises are coordinated with the relevant specialist areas and financial assessments are submitted taking into account uniform standards in the group. As in almost all areas of the world of work, digitalization and AI also penetrates the business processes more and more in controlling. We want to continuously develop our tools and further integrate the use of AI into our work. In addition to the operational activities, the focus of the internship lies in the mutual development of skills in the field of AI and data analytics.
