Technician/Engineer as Head of Design in Shipbuilding (m/f/d)

You take over the disciplinary and professional leadership of a dedicated design team (12 employees (m/w/d)) and thus create the basis for technical development, efficient processes and sustainable project implementation in maritime mechanical engineering. With your experience, you can control the timely, economic and quality-compliant implementation of sophisticated design projects – from the technical design of complex assemblies to ensuring compliance with standards and customer-specific requirements. In close coordination with project management, manufacturing, purchasing and sales, you ensure continuous coordination along the entire product development process and thus promote smooth and effective cooperation between all departments. Your technical expertise will help you in offering and order processing – an important lever for ensuring technical feasibility, cost transparency and high customer satisfaction in early project phases. By analyzing and optimizing existing design processes as well as introducing future-oriented standards and professional project controlling, you ensure compliance with internal requirements and external classification regulations and increase long-term efficiency

You have a degree in mechanical engineering, shipbuilding or marine engineering or a comparable qualification from the maritime technical environment. Multiannual professional and leadership experience in the maritime or naval environment bring you – ideally with responsibility for design teams or technical offices. Knowledge of the design and product development in mechanical engineering is obvious to you. You are safe to use with AutoCAD, Inventor or other CAD systems as well as Vault or comparable PDM software. A strong communication and leadership competency combined with a structured, solution-oriented way of working and well-founded experience in dealing with classification societies as well as the technical requirements of the maritime sector, will distinguish you.
