The thorax clinic at Heidelberg University Hospital is one of the largest lung specialist clinics in Europe. More than 6,000 patients are treated in a stationary manner annually. For our 16 beds interdisciplinary intensive care unit with focus on ARDS therapy, extra-corporeal lung replacement procedures and monitoring of postoperative patients, we are looking for a health and nursing care professional at the next possible time. For our interdisciplinary intensive care unit, we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/w/d) Full time / parttime

Monitoring and care of patients after thorax surgery: e.g. after lobectomy, pneumoctomy, cuff resections etc. Supply of critically ill patients (ARDS, septic shock) Monitoring and care of patients with respiratory system diseases Beatmungsmanagement and de pampering from the ventilation (invasive and non-invasive) – accredited Weaning Center Monitoring of lung and kidney replacement (ECMO). Introduction and monitoring of non-invasive ventilation, early mobility and respiratory therapy Assistance in diagnostic and therapeutic measures: e.g. bronchoscopy, thoraxdrainagen system, bed-side tracheotomy Pain management and sedation: including monitoring of pain pumps, peridural anaesthesia and sedation schemes Cooperation in the multidisciplinary team Documentation and quality assurance: complete collection of care measures, vital parameters and ventilation data (electronic data collection) Support and support of relatives: in particular in complex illnesses or palliative situations
