The LVR-Jugendhilfe Rheinland with the facilities in Solingen, Tönisvorst, Remscheid and Euskirchen is a highly differentiated youth aid facility with 351 seats. The St.Tönis group offers space for six male children, adolescents and young adults aged about 11 to 27 years with e.g. learning disability or mental disability, slight depression, (school-related) social phobia and associated school refusal. Based on the fulfillment of basic psychological needs, children, young people and young adults are cared for in a family atmosphere in a protected habitat 24/7. Reliability and orientation can be found, for example, in the structured daily routine. The group rules provide a further binding orientation point in everyday life. As part of individual and resource-oriented promotion through various offers (movement, music, art, etc.), children, young people and young adults can and should experience self-reality and thus increase their self-esteem. The focus of work is on providing relationship work and providing binding security. This occurs both in individual contact and in group context.
