Supporting the Executive Publisher in managing and developing the existing journal portfolio, including new journales and acquisitions in the chemical sciences. Implementing journal development and commissioning plans aligned with the Thieme Science strategy to acquire high-quality content. Monitoring performance journal against defined and targets KPIs using market observation, data analysis, and reporting. Organizing and supporting Editorial Board meetings while coordinating with editors, authors, and the editorial office on thematic issues and timelines. Ensuring publishing quality, standards, and research integrity policies across journal activities. Driving strategy execution by coordinating and prioritizing with internal and external stakeholders, and representing the journals and Thieme at conferences and professional events.
PhD or master's degree preferably in chemical, physical or life sciences 1-2 years' experience in the international academic publishing industry, ideally in an open access environment, would be desirable Excellent communications skills in English language, written and spoken You have an above-average degree of self-organization as well as sovereign time and schedule management skills Strongly collaborative team worker, comfortable with co-ownership of shared goals and with a high level of personal accountability You have excellent Microsoft Office and other relevant software skills You are highly motivated and willing and distract to travel
