Pedagogical and nursing staff as school assistants (m/f/d)

in Berlin We are youth residences in Kiez – youth assistance gGmbH, short “Juwo”, a recognized freelance from Berlin with more than 8o educational projects and areas of application. We are professionals, both colourful and, if necessary, critical and courageous when it comes to the development and rights of children, young people and their families. In order to build our new offer we are looking for the school year 2026 / 2027 or for a joint agreement in parttime with 20-25 hours/week pedagogical and nursing staff as a school assistant (m/w/d) at primary and secondary schools in the Berlin city area (Neukölln, Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg, Spandau, Tempelhof-Schöneberg or Mitte). The bodies are initially limited according to the cost allocation, with a view to long-term cooperation. With our school assistant, we support children and young people whose participation in school life is limited due to an existing or imminent disability. The concrete accompaniment is based on the individual skills, needs and objectives of young people - as much support as necessary and as much self-employment as possible. Tasks As a school assistant, you will accompany a young person in the whole day of school – in lessons, in breaks, in the whole day and in school events (weekly from Monday to Friday). You support orientation, daily structure and work organisation and promote attention, concentration and self-employment. You strengthen social participation by promoting communication, social interaction and dealing with stress and conflict situations. You work confidently with parents, school and other departments to coordinate the support together. You digitally document the course of support and contribute to help plan processes, development reports and professional reflection. Your profile a professional qualification as a state-approved pedagogical specialist or as a nursing professional is a prerequisite, e.g. educatorin, curative caregiverin, ergotherapeutin, logopedin, motopädin, physiotherapistin or care professional Language skills in German are also mandatory at level C1 You convince by a pronounced communication and relationship competence and also act professionally, reflected and responsible in challenging situations. You work reliably, structured and independent and agree to your action bindingly with all stakeholders You bring a resource-oriented, discriminatory-sensitive attitude and the readiness to digital documentation with Knowledge of child protection is advantageous Note: It is particularly important to us that the assistance and the young person fit well together. That's why both get to know each other personally before the start of the accompaniment. What you can expect from us Remuneration: Our salary system is coordinated with the works council and is between €20.85 and €27.95 per hour (corresponding to the pay tables of the TV-L in the country of Berlin) Holiday: You will get 30 days holiday and in addition the 24.+31.12. as free days Jobticket: We grant your Germany ticket job or your VBB company ticket Security: You become part of a large network of supporters, which is a fixed size in the carrier landscape and has over 40 years of educational experience Introduction: You will receive a structured incorporation into the technical and legal foundations of school assistance, child and violence protection, demarcation of school assignments and documentation Technical assistance: The area management will accompany you throughout the course of the assistance.
