In our Hybrid Intelligence (HI) department at Fraunhofer IAIS, we bundle the expertise of a dedicated team of scientists. Together we work on innovative approaches and solutions for the current challenges in the application in research projects with partners from science and industry. The R&Q agent (Risk&Quality), a hybrid agent system that combines knowledge management and decision support, is one of our key offerings. In addition, we develop Recommender systems that partially automatically check large amounts of data using checklists. The LLM Explore Hub allows you to map different applications in the company and optimize document processing while our anonymizer recognizes important entities in text documents and anonymizes or pseudonymizes them. Our core solutions are complemented by AI innovation workshops that support companies from identification of a use case to concrete implementation.

What you do with us

• You design and realize software solutions using Python, taking into account best practices such as PEP-8, decoupling, Type Hints and Unit tests with Pytest.
• You implement and manage deployment processes using Docker to ensure the efficiency and stability of the applications.
• They support and optimise CI/CD pipelines as part of DevOps practices to promote continuous integration and delivery.
• They develop natural language processing solutions using LLMs, Retrieval Augmented Generation and Multi Agent Systems.
• They work in project management and support the planning and coordination of projects in order to ensure a smooth process.
• They are responsible for the implementation and implementation of industrial projects.

What you bring

• Complete master's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics or a related field.
• Funded knowledge in machine learning and artificial intelligence
• Good programming knowledge in Python, including Numpy and Scipy; Knowledge in TensorFlow or PyTorch are desirable.
• Routine in agile methods of software development (e.g. Scrum, TDD) and experience with code management (e.g. Git).
• Development and maintenance of software solutions in Python taking into account best practices and unit tests.
• Implementation of deployment processes with docker and optimization of CI/CD pipelines as part of DevOps.
• Joy of entrepreneurial thinking
• Flowing German and English knowledge (at least C1)
• Remarkable: interest or experience in the legal sector (e.g. through previous projects, training or double qualification)
• Knowledge of the processing of legal documents or legal data Training or experience in legal matters
