Macroeconomic analysis and economic policy Continuous monitoring, analysis and evaluation of macroeconomic developments at national, European and international level Analysis of the impact of macroeconomic conditions on industrial value added Classification of economic and financial policies, programmes and measures Developing macro-economically sound positions, evaluations and argumentation lines of IG Metall to central economic and industrial policy issues Industrial policy Practical and operational work on industrial policy issues: focus on operational implementation, translation and transfer performance of industrial policy content to companies and industries Deduction of industrial policy conclusions from macroeconomic analyses Self-employed analysis and assessment Creation and coordination of opinions, position and demand papers on industrial and economic policy issues Monitoring, evaluation and classification of studies, reports and economic analysis Special events Conception, organisation and implementation of specialist events on economic and industrial policy issues Representation of the organisation at special events

Knowledge acquired through (special) higher education or training at the European Academy of Labour or comparable qualifications Knowledge of macroeconomics and economic and industrial policy Experience in the analysis of economic and industrial processes at national and European level Understanding industrial value chains and operational relationships Organisational capacity and structured work Embossed conceptual skills Knowledge of how to use the standard software products (MS Office) used in IG Metal in the EDV application (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) High communicative and social competence, persuasive power, enforcement and team skills High level of motivation and responsibilities, flexibility Good knowledge of English Ready for business trips
