The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a well-known aid organisation and a free, non-profit body of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees. The SOS Children's Village Prignitz offers a habitat and meeting place for children, young people and parents. Our help from a single source includes children's day huts, early help, educational counselling, youth and school social work, a multi-generation house, a children's and youth campus centre and the urban children's village with two children's and youth groups, as well as two mother/ father-child groups in Wittenberge. Do you want to help children find safety, perspectives and joy of living in difficult situations? Then you will be part of our new team at the Inobhutnahmestelle für Todkinder in Wittenberge! As a social student in the educational service, you will accompany our youngest in a challenging and at the same time fulfilling work environment. Together with a multi-professional team of 10 colleagues, you create stable structures and give hold – for up to 5 children aged 0 to 6 years, in siblings also up to 8 years.

Your task: In your role, you will take on versatile and responsible tasks: Recording and perspective: You accompany the reception of children, create development reports and develop inclusions for the perspective, always in close exchange with youth and the multi-professional team. Help and education planning: Together with team members and youth representatives, you will design individual help and education planning to provide the best prospects for children. Diagnostic services: You coordinate and carry out diagnostic measures to optimally understand and encourage the individual needs of the children. Funding offers: You plan and guide offers for the development of skills that sustainably support the development of children. Quality assurance and advice: You advise the team in educational questions and ensure that our high quality standards are complied with in working with the children. Networking work: You maintain an intensive exchange with young people, therapeutic professionals and other relevant institutions to provide the best support for children. Implementation of child and care protection: You consistently pay attention to the well-being of children and implement protection concepts in a comprehensive and professional manner.

Qualification: You have a degree in social education or psychology or a comparable discipline. Practical experience: Ideally, you have professional experience in working with toddlers or in observatory places. Communicative Stärke: You maintain a facing and value-giving approach to children, parents and colleagues and meet all participants with empathy and openness. Reflective personality: You act self-sufficient and targeted, reflect your work continuously and remain humorous and sensual in challenging situations.
