System Engineer / IT-Consultant – VMware Automation (m/f/d)

Implementation, configuration and development of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and VMware automation solutions Development and implementation of automation workflows with technologies such as JavaScript, YAML, Ansible, Terraform or comparable tools Conception and implementation of infrastructure-as-code strategies in complex customer environments Integration of automation and self-service solutions into hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructures Analysis of existing operating and deployment processes and identification of automation potentials Implementation of architectural and design workshops and technical advice from our customers Testing, Deployment, Documentation and Troubleshooting Support Technical development of existing platforms and active design of modern operating models

Successfully completed IT-oriented training or studying in the IT environment. You are also welcome as a cross-comer with corresponding practical experience. Multiannual experience in VMware virtualization and ideally in the automation of VMware environments, for example with VMware Aria Automation, VCF Automation or comparable automation platforms Experience in the automation of infrastructure and operating processes Good knowledge of at least one script or programming language, such as PowerShell, Python or JavaScript Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration Management, ideally with Terraform, Ansible or Similar Tools Knowledge in the design and operation of virtualization, cloud or hybrid cloud infrastructures Analytical way of thinking, high level of learning and pleasure in technically demanding advice Very good communication skills in German (min. level C1) and English (min. level B1) as well as project-related travel readiness
