Senior Business Analyst – Revenue & Reporting (m/f/d)

In this role, you take a central responsibility for our Deferred Revenue Slides around our products Abas ERP, Myfactory, Proffix and Prodaso and ensure that sales movements are correctly, comprehensible and transparent. You work closely with FP&A, Accounting, as well as other finance and data teams and introduce your analytical and accounting know-how to understand complex relationships. You actively shape the quality of our data, reporting and processes.

Your tasks

You take over the end-to-end responsibility for Deferred Revenue-Schedules across several products and societies and ensure their completeness and accuracy. In detail, you analyze and reconcile periodic sales movements – from Opening Balance to Billings to Recognition, Reclasses and FX effects. You ask for a clean vote between schedules, main book and secondary books. You deliver reliable inputs for ARR and ARR Snowball reports and check them for plausibility. Deviations and developments in the sales environment are analysing the underlying drivers in a structured manner – especially in the context of our product landscape (Abas ERP, Myfactory, Proffix, Prodaso). You support Go-to-Market in price analyses, simulations and adjustments. Remarkables in bookings, mappings or Revenue types can be recognized early and actively promote their cleaning. Together with FP&A, Accounting and ERP and BI teams, you continuously improve data quality, reporting logic and processes. You accompany final processes (month, quarter, year) with sound analyses, votes and clear statements. In addition, you ensure that all relevant methods, assumptions and results are documented in a comprehensible and audit-proof manner.

You have extensive experience in accounting and analysis of balance sheet and sales topics. Ideally, you have already worked with Deferred Revenue and Revenue Recognition in the software or SaaS environment. You analyze numbers, data and complex relationships in a structured and highly accurate manner. It is easy for you to explain even complex facts clearly and addressably. You work safely with large amounts of data as well as Excel and ideally bring experience with BI tools. The handling of ERP systems – ideally also in the environment of Abas ERP or comparable solutions – is familiar to you and you are safely moving into finance data models.
